Anatomy Dimensions Foundational Pilates Training Courses

Our Foundational Pilates training courses were developed as a series for students participating in Body Organics Education comprehensive training. We have extended  access to this knowledge to teachers and students from other certification courses. The knowledge helps teachers and instructors  fill in gaps in their understanding of functional anatomy and its application to pilates movement. The focus on these courses is to build an understanding of the body and mind so as to create a greater understanding of the whole. Each course layers in the knowledge learnt in other modules of the foundational course series.

The Foundational pilates training courses have been written in conjunction with Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Exercise Physiologists and Scientists, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, Naturopaths and Senior Pilates Teachers. Each of these professions have provided insights and ideas on important topics of anatomy and movement related issues commonly encountered in a Pilates studio setting. The insights provide teachers with opportunities to better modify and appropriately refer their clients in order to achieve better client and teacher outcomes.

When starting the Foundational courses, we suggest you watch the courses in this order:
// Introduction to Movement (if you are completely new to the terms of anatomy)
// Lower Limb Courses (Feet, Knee, Pelvis One and Pelvis Two)
// Upper Limb Courses (Shoulder, Neck and Jaw and Elbow, Hands and Wrists)
// Introduction to Neuroanatomy
//
Spine and Torso and Breath
// The Principles (The Pre-Movement Principles, Cueing and Programming courses then bring all of the concepts together)
These courses are only included in our Bundle Courses

What Our Students Have to Say

Body Organics courses are perfect for the seasoned instructor who wants to learn a deeper knowledge of anatomy. Body Organics teachers have an incredible way of explaining complicated biomechanics in easy to apply methods. I’ve always found learning anatomy from a textbook hard to follow, but Carla applies imagery to bring the concepts to life. When you understand how the body moves, you’ll be able to have the capability to cater to a range of complex clients and this is what you get with Body Organics.
