Course Description

Pilates Stands Up is a series of courses that will help you understand the CoreAlign® in the context of the Pilates method and learn how to use this versatile piece of equipment to its fullest potential. These courses are intended to provide teachers with the opportunity to draw connections and identify patterns on the CoreAlign® to the traditional Pilates equipment and repertoire. These courses are aimed at teachers who have done their Pilates certification and now are looking for more detailed cueing techniques, adaptations and modifications using the CoreAlign® apparatus.

We have divided the courses into:
Pilates Stands Up – CoreAlign® 1
Section 1: Achieving Vertical Axis and Axial stability
Section 2: Limb disassociation – Hoof & Curtsey exercises
Section 3: Additional Legs

Pilates Stands Up – CoreAlign® 2
Section 4: Arms
Section 5: Side Facing
Section 6: Hip Disassociation
Section 7: Stretches
Section 8: Special populations
Section 9: Flow Series

The repertoire and resources are comprehensive, providing teachers with opportunities to identify modifications and variations for various common movement dysfunctions e.g. tendinopathies, flat feet and osteoporosis. It will give you teaching tips and contraindications for each exercise. We also explain how the repertoire relates to other equipment in the Pilates method.

The repertoire review and additions are not necessarily about advanced Pilates exercises. In the Pilates Stands Up courses, we instead take an in-depth look at the work that is often needed for the average client participating in studio or semi-private settings and how you adapt the repertoire to the person in front of you.

The online experience is supported by:
// 4 comprehensive digital manuals of the CoreAlign®
// program sheets to allow participants to practice the repertoire with flow and rhythm
// videos of the repertoire on the CoreAlign® and related exercises on traditional Pilates equipment
// programmed flow class sheets on the CoreAlign®
