Course Description
In this short one hour course, you will learn what Peripheral Neuropathy is and how you work with clients with the condition in a movement studio setting. You will learn the main causes behind Peripheral Neuropathy and how it will affect the quality of life of your clients.
The course will teach you the basics of the peripheral nervous system and explain the different types of Peripheral Neuropathy and the effects on the peripheral nerves. We look at different cancer treatments and their implication on the condition.
Most of the course focuses on practical applications and exercises that you can start implementing immediately in the studio with your clients. You will learn exercises for increased strength, balance, mobility and sensory stimulation particularly in the hands and feet. All of the exercises are specifically tailored for clients with Peripheral Neuropathy.
All the repertoire is filmed and the videos contain information about the focus and purpose for each exercise as well as cueing tips and other useful information.
