Course Description
In this short one hour course, you will learn the basics of how to deal with clients with Drop Foot in a movement studio setting. You will learn the main causes behind Drop Foot and how it will affect the quality of life of your client.
The course will go through some of the more common neurological pathologies that can cause Drop Foot as well as explaining the difference between a musculoskeletal and neurological reason for Drop Foot and why you might need to program differently depending on the cause.
Most of the course focuses on practical applications and exercises that you can start implementing immediately in the studio with your clients. You will learn exercises for increased balance, reaction times and strength. All of them are specifically tailored for clients with Drop Foot as well as with different other needs associated with Drop Foot.
All the repertoire is filmed and the videos contain information about the focus and purpose for each exercise as well as cueing tips and other useful information.

Any movement teachers wanting to expand their knowledge when working with clients with stroke, Parkinson’s, MS, diabetes, peripheral neuropathies from cancer treatments, and any other conditions that can lead to Drop Foot.
